Liquid Facelift

liquid-faceliftWhat is a facial filler?

Young, healthy-looking skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). But as you age, time, sunlight, and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in your skin. The lack of HA causes your skin to lose structure and volume creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds, like those parentheses lines around your nose and mouth. Facial fillers replace the HA your skin has lost, adding volume to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds.

What Can I Expect with Treatment?

Facial fillers are a quick in-office procedure with minimal downtime. A topical anesthetic is applied to the surface of the skin wanting volume and Dr. Morris eases the filler under the skin to instantly smooth out the wrinkles and folds. XC (Extra comfort) formulations of facial fillers are also available. This allows the numbing agent to be added to the product, which provides a more comfortable experience during and after treatment.

What Are the Side Effects of Treatment?

The most commonly reported side effects are temporary injection-site redness, swelling and mild bruising. Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (7 days or less).

What Areas Can Be Treated?

Nasolabial folds or parentheses, vertical lip lines, oral commissures, marionette lines and chin wrinkles. Cheek augmentation can also be performed using Radiesse or fat transfers. Depending on the desired areas to be treated, Dr. Morris will recommend the perfect filler to fit your needs.
